Hiatal Hernia: A Natural Remedy

A hiatal hernia is a condition where part of the stomach has herniated into the diaphragm. Approximately 55% of adults, over the age of 50, suffer from this condition.

Symptoms can include:

Reflux

Trouble swallowing

Nausea

Vomiting

Heartburn

Chest pain

Bloating

Feeling full sooner than normal

Liquid and/or food rising up into the esophagus, even up into the mouth and sinuses

Caution

If a hiatal hernia is bad enough, it can cause compression of the heart or lungs. If you are having shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitations, chest pain, or any other severe symptoms, contact a medical professional.

The Natural Remedy

Often, a mild hiatal hernia can be corrected through a simple method of heel drops.

Begin by drinking a full glass of non-carbonated liquid, preferably water. This can also be done after eating a meal. The weight in the stomach helps pull the herniated part of the stomach back into its proper place.

Stand on your toes and drop your heels to the floor, using enough force to cause a gentle shockwave through the body. Hold onto a countertop or chair for stability, if necessary.

Repeat this several times. If you do not feel a difference, repeat throughout the day. You may even need to do it over several days until you experience relief.
