Relax with The Relaxer (Magnesium)

My favorite way to relax and ease into a good night's sleep is with a magnesium bath. Magnesium sulfate, also known as Epsom salt, is easily absorbed through the skin and helps relax the body. It also does wonders for achy muscles.

Baking soda is a great add-on to a magnesium bath. It helps with sleep, detoxes the skin, improves the health of skin, especially during an eczema outbreak, soothes achy muscles, can help with constipation, and is great for overall health.

Here's what I do:

Start filling the tub with hot water.

Add 1 cup of Epsom salts.

Add 1 cup of baking soda.

When you step in, you may feel the undissolved salts. Just swish the water around with your feet. They will dissolve pretty quickly.

Soak until you feel like getting out.

Caution

  • Limit magnesium baths with baking soda to once or twice a week. Absorbing too much can cause potassium deficiency.

  • Avoid Epsom salt with fragrances and other chemicals added.
